Nestle is maintaining growth despite committing billions of dollars towards improving the company’s environmental footprint, CEO Mark Schneider told CNBC Thursday.

“Today’s consumer asks even more than before for sustainability. They want to know that we are treating the planet well, they want to know we’re taking care of the next generation,” he said in an interview with Jim Cramer on “Mad Money.”

“I think there’s a good business case emerging and that’s what we’re pursuing,” said Schneider, whose interview landed on Earth Day.

Florida lawmakers move closer to overhauling auto insurance policies, despite warnings

TALLAHASSEE — Representatives from State Farm, Geico, Progressive and multiple insurance trade organizations came out against a sweeping overhaul of Florida’s automobile insurance laws proposed by state lawmakers this session.

Insurance companies warned state lawmakers on Monday that up to 45 percent of Florida motorists could see their rates rise if lawmakers choose to do away with the state’s 50-year-old “no-fault” laws and increase the minimum amount of insurance motorists would be required to carry.

“It will have a significant rate increase for 35 to 45 percent of Floridians,” Doug Bell, a lobbyist for Progressive, told lawmakers.

Gallatin County files lawsuit against insurance company over payment for snowplow crash | County

Gallatin County and a snowplow driver who was involved in a 2017 collision have filed a complaint in federal district court against Atlantic Special Insurance Company, alleging that the insurer acted in bad faith and breached its contract with the county.

In that case, a Gallatin County plow being driven by Rick Blackwood failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a car being driven by Sarah Daniels.
